UBS is offering a CA Intern opportunity in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, within its Finance – Group Functions division. The position is part of the Investment Banking (IB) Product Control team, which is responsible for producing daily and monthly profit and loss (P&L) reports and balance sheet information.
The selected candidate will support financial reporting, perform daily P&L checks, investigate discrepancies, reconcile source data with ledger records, and prepare commentary explaining financial movements. The role also involves month-end closing activities, balance sheet substantiation, stakeholder coordination, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Profit and Loss Reporting
- Support the production of daily and monthly profit and loss reports.
- Perform T0 versus T1 checks to identify changes between reporting periods.
- Provide commentary on mark-to-market P&L movements and explain changes by identifying relevant market drivers.
2. Financial Data Reconciliation
- Reconcile source data with ledger records and investigate discrepancies.
- Review RSBPL Scallops and maintain accurate financial records and reporting information.
3. Balance Sheet Reporting and Month-End Close
- Provide daily balance sheet commentary based on business drivers and perform balance sheet substantiation.
- Support month-end book-closing procedures, post journal entries, and clear outstanding reconciliation breaks.
4. Internal Controls and Stakeholder Management
- Maintain a strong internal control environment, attest control tools, and maintain supporting evidence.
- Respond to ad hoc queries from stakeholders, front-office teams, COOs, and financial controllers.

Eligibility & Preferences

Education Requirement: University degree or equivalent qualification. CA, MBA, or similar professional qualifications are preferred.

Experience Required: 0–3 years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, or Internal Control. Experience in financial services or professional services is preferred.
