Job Overview

Nike is hiring a Software Engineer I – ITC in Bengaluru to work within its Global Technology organization. The role focuses on building software tools that support Nike’s footwear and apparel product design and creation community.

The position involves developing scalable web and cloud-native solutions, working with modern front-end technologies, AWS services, APIs, microservices, and CI/CD practices. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and business partners throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate scalable software solutions.
  • Build web, front-end, and cloud-native platforms for Nike’s design community.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance web experiences.
  • Use modern front-end technologies, design systems, and browser capabilities.
  • Build and integrate cloud-native platforms, applications, APIs, and services.
  • Follow an API-first engineering approach.
  • Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and software development activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.
  • Support development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational activities.
  • Improve application usability, performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
  • Develop solutions across user-facing applications and backend services.

Eligibility

  • Experience Requirement: 0–2 years of software development experience.
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Core Tech Skills: Experience with React or Vue.js. Experience with cloud architecture (AWS), REST APIs, microservices, and testing frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine, or Jest).
  • Cloud & Architecture: Knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools. Strong understanding of design patterns, computer science fundamentals, and domain-driven design.
  • Preferred: Experience with AI, machine learning, and data solutions is highly preferred.
