HP is hiring a Data Scientist 2 in Bengaluru to work on advanced analytics and complex business problems.
The role involves researching, developing, testing, and improving advanced diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics models. The Data Scientist will work with structured and unstructured data, develop machine learning algorithms, conduct large-scale experimentation, and translate data into actionable business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Mine and analyze data using modern tools and programming languages.
- Develop models to identify patterns and generate predictions that create business value.
- Apply predictive modeling, statistics, and other analytical techniques to structured and unstructured data.
- Perform descriptive statistical analysis and develop visualizations, dashboards, applications, and presentations.
- Develop algorithms and conduct large-scale experimentation.
- Build data-driven applications and solutions for complex business problems.
- Consolidate and analyze diverse Big Data sources.
- Establish standard methodologies for data science projects.
- Create, enhance, and maintain technical documentation.
- Present analytical findings to senior scientists and business leaders.
- Stay updated with developments and trends in the data science domain.
- Collaborate with project teams on project progress and issue resolution.
- Understand business problem statements, initiatives, and project directions.
- Contribute suggestions for process and solution improvements.

Eligibility

Experience Required: 2–4 years, preferably in data analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, or related fields. Equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence may also be considered. Candidates with an advanced degree and limited work experience may also be considered.

Qualification: Four-year or Graduate Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline.

Preferred Certifications: Programming language certification in SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
