As part of Google's Search team, the selected candidate will contribute to software development, system improvements, debugging, code reviews, and the maintenance of software solutions. Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer on the Search team, you will contribute to improving Google Search and the massive-scale infrastructure that supports a useful, accessible, and reliable search experience.
1. Software Development & Search Infrastructure
- Write product and system development code to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Contribute to engineering projects supporting Google Search and large-scale infrastructure.
- Work on software solutions involving information retrieval, distributed computing, data storage, and artificial intelligence depending on project requirements.
2. Code Review, QA & Debugging
- Review code written by other developers and provide feedback on coding standards, style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Investigate product and system issues, analyze underlying root causes, and track issues through resolution.
- Evaluate the impact of technical issues on hardware, networks, service operations, and overall system quality.
3. Documentation & Project Collaboration
- Contribute to existing technical documentation and update educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Manage assigned project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while adapting to evolving technical requirements.
