Job Overview
Barclays is hiring a Data Analyst in Chennai to support HR transformation programmes through high-quality data, strong governance, and actionable business insights. The role focuses on ensuring data is fit for migration, reporting, analysis, and decision-making while improving data quality, controls, and delivery outcomes.
The successful candidate will work across HR, HR Technology, business teams, technology teams, and third-party partners. Responsibilities include data quality analysis, data governance, data migration, data pipelines, advanced analytics, dashboards, reporting automation, and translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze and document business requirements, translate them into data definitions and models, and develop/maintain data dictionaries and glossaries.

Support data product flows, sourcing, lineage, and controls, while investigating and remediating issues related to data quality and authoritative sources.

Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement/processing, and design interactive dashboards and visual reports.

Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to identify trends, developing actionable business recommendations and operational improvements.

Support the use of data in AI models, manage risks/controls, and collaborate with HR, HR Technology, and third-party transformation partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have relevant experience in Data & Analytics. Solid background in data analysis, data quality, data migration, governance, reporting, or transformation is highly preferred. Experience working with AI models and large-scale data environments is an advantage.
