American Express is hiring a Financial Analyst to join the American Express Banking Corp. (AEBC) India Controllership team in Gurugram. The role will support financial reporting, RBI regulatory submissions, accounting activities, statutory audit requirements, variance analysis, and governance reporting.
The position involves working in a matrix environment and collaborating with internal stakeholders across finance and controllership functions, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to enhance their accounting and regulatory reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare returns and statements filed with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in accordance with applicable RBI guidelines.
- Perform daily and month-end accounting entries while ensuring compliance with relevant RBI reporting and India GAAP accounting requirements.
- Prepare financial information and supporting inputs required for RBI inspections and statutory audits.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare business commentaries for AEBC governance committees and senior management.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to External & Regulatory Reporting teams.
- Support controllership processes and financial reporting activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and other functions in a matrix environment.
- Contribute to projects and process improvements based on business requirements and individual responsibilities.

Eligibility

Experience Required: 1–2 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Controllership, Banking, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Reporting.

Qualification: Graduation in Commerce. (MBA, Postgraduate degree, or CA Inter is preferred).

Core Skills: Strong analytical and accounting skills with a solid understanding of financial reporting.

Domain Knowledge: Understanding of RBI regulatory requirements and India GAAP accounting requirements would be beneficial.
