Job Overview
Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer I (SDE I FTC) for its Amazon Pay organization in Hyderabad, Telangana. This is a 12-month contract opportunity focused on building PayUI, a new rendering technology initiative designed to standardize the appearance and behavior of user interface components across Amazon Pay pages.
The selected candidate will work with a team developing a large-scale rendering platform that supports payment pages used by customers. Responsibilities span the software development lifecycle, including requirements review, service design, prototyping, coding, testing, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
As an SDE I FTC, you will contribute to building a large-scale rendering platform that serves as the foundation for Amazon Pay's payment pages across multiple customer use cases.
1. Software Design & Development
- Review project requirements, contribute to technical design, and design services forming the foundation of the rendering platform.
- Develop reusable UX components and their interfaces.
- Define, design, prototype, and build scalable customer-facing experiences.
2. Rendering Platform Development (PayUI)
- Help build the PayUI rendering platform and develop standardized components reusable across multiple payment pages.
- Contribute to consistent interactions and visual experiences across the Amazon Pay ecosystem.
3. Coding, Testing & Collaboration
- Write clean code to implement software features and test thoroughly to ensure reliable, seamless implementations.
- Work closely with product managers, UX designers, software developers, and multiple client teams.
- Participate in technical discussions and solution development across all phases of the SDLC.

Eligibility & Contract Details

Basic Qualifications: At least 1 year of professional, non-internship software development experience, and experience programming in at least one software programming language. (Note: This is not a fresher-only position).

Preferred Qualification: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

Contract Term: This position is offered as a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) within the Amazon Pay – Payments department.
