Amazon is hiring a Business Analyst I for its Competitor Monitoring Team (CMT) in Bengaluru. The CMT Central Analytics team works on competitive pricing information, customer price perception, availability, promotions, shipping prices, and rebates to support Amazon's Retail and 3P businesses.
The role focuses on developing scalable reporting solutions, analyzing data, maintaining business metrics and dashboards, understanding ETL pipelines, and delivering insights that support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and automated reports, dashboards, and analytical systems.
- Understand ETL pipelines, report architecture, and metric definitions.
- Debug reporting issues and help unblock analytical workflows.
- Work with leadership and diverse stakeholders to understand analytical requirements.
- Recommend appropriate Business Intelligence solutions.
- Own ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards.
- Standardize data and report consumption across customer groups.
- Apply best practices in data integrity, testing, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Collaborate with data engineering, machine learning, and software development teams.
- Support the appropriate capture and storage of important data points.
- Present analytical insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Eligibility

Experience Required: 1+ years in tax, finance, or a related analytical field. 1+ years of experience in Business/Financial Analysis.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred).

Core Tech Skills: Experience with SQL or ETL. At least 2 years of Excel experience, including tools such as VBA, Pivot Tables, Array Functions, and Power Pivot.

Visualization Skills: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, or Power BI.

Professional Skills: Experience defining business requirements and using data and metrics to generate insights. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
