American Express is hiring an Apprentice for its Product and Analytics team within Global Commercial Services (GCS) in Gurugram. The role focuses on using data, analytics, experimentation, and product thinking to support business growth, customer engagement, and strategic decision-making.
The apprentice will work with Technology, Design, Analytics, and other enterprise stakeholders on product capabilities, proof of concepts, dashboards, data quality solutions, customer targeting, and product analytics. The role also provides exposure to A/B testing, cohort analysis, funnel performance, SQL, HIVE, SAS, Excel, and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of products and capabilities addressing business needs.
- Collaborate with Technology, Design, Analytics, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Build and test proof of concepts and incorporate client feedback.
- Maintain product documentation, dashboards, and operational processes.
- Monitor product health metrics and user analytics.
- Identify and proactively resolve product and data-related issues.
- Define and groom user stories and contribute to PRDs.
- Analyze user journeys, support growth experimentation, and run A/B tests.
- Apply cohort analysis and funnel performance analysis.
- Develop analytical solutions to improve data quality and customer targeting.

Eligibility

Qualification Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Operations Research.

Experience & Knowledge: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of SQL, HIVE, SAS, and Excel. Python knowledge is an advantage.

Core Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve unstructured problems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Work Attributes: Strong flexibility and adaptability. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within stringent deadlines. Willingness to work across different shifts.
