Job Overview
Google is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Corporate Engineering (Corp Eng) organization in Hyderabad. The team develops business solutions, tools, platforms, and experiences that support Googlers across the organization.
The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. Engineers will also participate in code reviews, documentation, issue triage, debugging, and resolving software or system problems affecting service and operational quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code for core Google applications.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust software solutions.
- Review code written by other developers and provide feedback on quality, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Follow software development and coding best practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation and educational content for the team.
- Update documentation based on product changes and user feedback.
- Triage product and system issues effectively and efficiently.
- Analyze the source and impact of technical issues across the stack.
- Debug and track software or system problems affecting hardware, network, or service operations.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.
- Contribute to scalable business solutions within Google Corp Eng.

Experience Requirement: Minimum 1 year of software development experience.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly preferred.

Core Tech Skills: Experience with at least one core programming language such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. Strong software development and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Experience: Deep understanding of large-scale system design, distributed computing, and networking. Experience developing accessible technologies is a plus.
