American Express is hiring an Analyst – Data Science in Gurugram as part of its Analytics, Investment Optimization and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team.
The role is part of the SBS Engagement Analytics team and focuses on analytics for U.S. Small Business customers across Spend, Lend, and Beyond-the-Card engagement. The selected candidate will develop analytical solutions, identify customer growth opportunities, build segmentation and targeting strategies, measure campaign performance, and translate data into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Own analytics for U.S. Small Business customer engagement, including Spend, Lend, and Beyond-the-Card opportunities.

Partner with Product, Marketing, and business stakeholders to translate strategic questions into analytical plans and recommend campaign designs.

Design and scale Test & Control frameworks, develop campaign measurement frameworks, and analyze incremental return on investment (ROI).

Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve engagement, propensity, and targeting problems using large-scale datasets.

Eligibility Criteria
Core Competence Required
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics) and possess 0–2 years of professional experience in Data Science and Analytics.
