Job Overview
Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer I for its Amazon Payments (PayUI) team in Hyderabad. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a greenfield initiative building a next-generation rendering platform that standardizes user interface components across Amazon Pay.
As an SDE I, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and reusable UI technologies powering millions of payment transactions. You'll collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and software engineers to build highly reliable, high-performance payment experiences used by customers every day.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable software solutions for Amazon Pay, including reusable rendering technologies and standardized UX components.

Develop high-performance backend services for payment platforms and participate in software architecture, system design, and technical discussions.

Review business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient production-quality code.

Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Software Engineers to build customer-focused payment experiences for millions of users.

Perform unit testing, debugging, code optimization, and contribute to engineering best practices and code reviews throughout the SDLC.
Eligibility Criteria
Core Competence Required
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline with 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience and programming proficiency.
