Barclays is hiring for the role of Data & AI Engineer in Pune, India.
The company is looking for professionals with foundational AI, machine learning, cloud, and software engineering knowledge who are passionate about building scalable technology solutions in the financial services domain. You will contribute to software development, AI/ML engineering, cloud-based solutions, and automation initiatives while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, test, and actively maintain scalable software solutions and high-performance data engineering pipelines.

Support end-to-end AI/ML model development and deployment activities, utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

Collaborate deeply with cross-functional technology teams to build advanced cloud-based engineering solutions and implement automation workflows.

Contribute to robust CI/CD and DevOps initiatives, participate in code reviews, and promote secure coding and optimal software testing practices.

Stay updated with emerging AI algorithms, Generative AI (LLMs, LangChain), and data engineering technologies to continually improve software delivery pipelines.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
Experience
Relevant experience or exposure to Python programming, AI/ML concepts, and modern software engineering practices.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Machine Learning fundamentals. Solid grasp of DevOps methodologies (CI/CD, GitHub/GitLab, Docker). Exposure to AWS Cloud Services, ETL pipelines, and GenAI concepts (LangChain, Prompt Engineering, Databricks) is highly beneficial.
