Job Overview
Stripe is hiring experienced professionals for the Product Accounting Data Insights role in Bengaluru, India.
The company is looking for accounting and finance professionals with strong data analytics capabilities to support financial reporting, accounting operations, anomaly detection, and margin analysis across Stripe’s global business operations. In this role, candidates will work closely with accounting, FP&A, engineering, and financial systems teams to analyze complex datasets and automate accounting insights.

Roles & Responsibilities

Support timely financial close and execute comprehensive margin analysis using advanced data analytics techniques.

Analyze large and complex accounting datasets to provide actionable insights to finance and business stakeholders.

Build and maintain dynamic financial data visualizations and reporting dashboards utilizing tools like Tableau or Alteryx.

Implement anomaly detection algorithms for automated accounting activities, performing rigorous root cause analysis on variances.

Partner actively with cross-functional global teams—including FP&A, Product Engineering, and Controllership—to drive process improvements and resolve system issues.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
B.A. or B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is accepted; CPA qualification is preferred.
Experience
5–7+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Must include experience handling large datasets and automated reporting processes.
Technical & Core Competence
Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and complex accounting operations. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel. Extensive experience with Data Analytics, Anomaly Detection, Margin Analysis, and Visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx). Experience in public accounting or fintech industry is highly desirable.
