Barclays is hiring a Data Analyst in Pune within its Global Payment Services business area and Data & Analytics function. The role focuses on enabling data-driven strategic and operational decision-making through data analysis, advanced analytics, data pipelines, and interactive reporting.
The position involves working with large datasets, investigating data quality and lineage issues, building data pipelines, developing logical data models, and translating analytical findings into actionable business recommendations. Candidates should have experience with Python, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, data integration, engineering and analytics, along with an understanding of the payments domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze data issues related to data quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and data quality findings while providing recommendations for improving data processes.
- Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to identify trends, correlations, and patterns.
- Develop validated logical data models and leverage Machine Learning and AI where applicable.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports, automating reporting processes for stakeholder requirements.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information to relevant stakeholders while partnering with other functions and business areas.
- Support risk management, strengthen controls, and support the implementation of new policies and procedures for risk mitigation.
