Amazon is hiring a Business Analyst – AMZL S&OP in Bengaluru as part of its Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP) organization. The role focuses heavily on SQL, ETL, Python automation, data pipelines, dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence.
The Business Analyst will maintain complex SQL queries, schedule and refresh ETL jobs, automate manual processes using Python, build data pipelines and dashboards, and provide analytical support to stakeholders. The role also requires the ability to understand business requirements and investigate complex reporting issues, particularly during high-demand periods like peak planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Schedule and refresh ETL jobs to ensure data availability and accuracy.
- Automate manual tasks and workflows using Python scripting.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for business intelligence frameworks.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance operational dashboards and reports.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses based on evolving business requests.
- Provide continuous data support and insights to S&OP stakeholders.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Validate data strictly to ensure accuracy and reporting fidelity.
- Investigate and identify root causes for reporting, BI, and data issues during peak periods.
- Identify innovative ways to improve and automate existing business processes.

Experience Required: 1+ year of data analytics or automation experience AND 1+ year of capacity planning, operations planning, or business analysis experience.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree required.

Core Tech Skills: Experience with complex SQL queries, ETL, data pipelining, and data mining tools (SQL, SAS, SPSS). Experience automating tasks with Python.

Business Operations: Proven ability to execute deep-dive analysis, develop BI dashboards, manage stakeholders, and solve complex problems during high-demand/peak planning periods.
